Our Mission

What?

The Zilker Neighborhood Association (ZNA), was established over 40 years ago with the mission of protecting the character of our neighborhood and enhancing the quality of life for all of our residents. ZNA is a volunteer organization that works to ensure appropriate code enforcement, resolve traffic safety issues, maintain our historic and cultural resources, protect our environment and ensure that our neighborhood’s interests are heard at City Hall.

The Zilker Neighborhood Association has a proud history of strong advocacy for our neighborhood. We encourage you to join today and help keep Zilker the most wonderful neighborhood in town!

Why?

To be effective in our mission, we need your participation in the association. Membership dues help to support our quarterly meetings, our website, our neighborhood newsletter Z-News, and involvement in code enforcement activities. Additional contributions above the annual dues are welcomed and support neighborhood projects such as the Holiday Families Program, in which ZNA assists disadvantaged children at Zilker Elementary and their families so that all of Zilker’s children can enjoy the holiday season.

Membership also affords you the opportunity to vote on important issues that are addressed at our association quarterly meetings.

Who?

Membership is open to all Zilker residents, both renters and homeowners, who are at least 18 years old.  Nonresident property owners are not eligible for membership. See the ZNA map if you’re uncertain whether you fall within the ZNA boundaries.

How?

Annual dues are currently $7 per person. To join ZNA, simply pay your dues online or mail in the attached form. Note: Voting privileges are activated thirty days after membership dues are received.
