It's My Park Day - South Zilker Park

DATE: Saturday, November 2, 2019, 9:00 – 11:30 AM

PROJECT DETAILS: Our group will apply mulch to 14 native trees and shrubs that we planted in early 2019 and to nearby trails. Our work continues the restoration of this area where we have removed non-native trees and maintained trails to prevent erosion.

REQUIREMENTS: Please wear closed shoes and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.). Please bring your personal water bottle. Tools and gloves will be provided. Children are welcome, but those 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

MEETING LOCATION:  If you live nearby, please consider walking or biking to the park. We will meet in the parking lot close to the back (south) gate to Barton Springs Pool. From the intersection of Barton Springs Road and Azie Morton Road (formerly Robert E Lee Rd), turn south onto Azie Morton Road. You will pass the Umlauf Sculpture Garden on your left; you will also pass the first driveway entrance into the park on your right. At the SECOND driveway entrance on your right, turn into the parking lot.

RAIN DATE: If it rains on Saturday, I will notify you by email by 8:00 AM that we will either delay starting by one hour or postpone until Sunday (11/6).
