Erosion Control Issues at Multiple Sites (July 9, 2015)

The following videos and photos were taken on July 9, 2018 during and shortly after a 1.07" rainfall event.


2010 Goodrich - Muddy runoff from 2010 Goodrich where no erosion controls are present. Sediment in runoff travels down gutter to storm drain.	1807 Hether - Muddy water running off lot at 1807 Hether, under gate, down driveway, into gutter, and down Hether.


2003 Melridge - Muddy runoff coming off 2003 Melridge. No erosion controls across most of entrance drive.	Downstream of 2019 & 2105 Ashby - Muddy runoff traveling down Ashby Ave to storm drain. Muddy runoff came from two construction sites just upstream: 2019 Asby and 2105 Ashby.


2019 Ashby - Muddy runoff overtopping mulch socks. Silt fence behind it is obviously not functioning properly perhaps because it is not toed-in correctly. If the silt fence was working properly, the mulch sock should not have need needed. However, this illustrates why mulch socks in place of silt fences would over very little erosion protection, especially on relatively steep slopes.	1113 Azie Morton - Following muddy runoff up Azie Morton toward 1113 Azie Morton. Muddy runoff from 1113 Azie Morton escaping through gap in silt fence. This gap (with a video) was reported to the City on May 22, 2018, over a month ago. Traveling further up the street to the driveway, sediment is seen escaping across the driveway and into the gutter. This runoff flows just a few hundred feet to the creek which immediately recharges to Barton Springs when it crosses under Azie Morton.
